And the day finally arrives with just short of full boiler pressure the fire was dropped and the regulator opened to clear out all the debris from inside the steam passages. A fully worthwhile exercise.

Later in the month, the tender and loco were swapped around so as the loco was closer to the workbench for the fabrication of the cab and the tender had access to the pit for its brake rigging. Here the loco has been moved onto the main line and the tender into the opposite road in the loco shed.
